In Ithaca schools, technology integration is enhanced through the work of our technology mentors. The mentors are members of the teaching staff who are compensated for work they perform outside of the regular school day. The primary goals of the technology mentor program are to:
- act as resources and provide building and district training sessions to building staff
- provide “just in time” support to teachers in the schools that are using technology
- work with classroom teachers to design and implement technology enhanced activities
- attend monthly meetings to collaborate and share ideas with other technology mentors
The Technology Mentor program is led by Andrew Yale and Roger Sevilla, ICSD’s full-time technology integration staff developers.
